Step 2: Fund the escrow

Both parties must deposit their stake into Peer2Bet escrow before kickoff. The creator deposits their chosen amount. The opponent deposits based on the agreed odds — typically stake × (odds − 1).

If either side fails to fund before kickoff, the bet is cancelled and any deposited funds are returned. Once both sides are funded, the bet locks automatically at kickoff.
